The terms that govern orders placed through amberlynliving.com and our workshop in Tangerang Selatan. For bespoke commissions, a separate written agreement supplements these terms.
Amberlyn Living is a furniture workshop based at Jl. Parakan No.56, Pondok Benda, Pamulang, Tangerang Selatan 15416, Banten, Indonesia. We design, build and ship handcrafted teak, rattan and mindi-wood furniture from this workshop, both through amberlynliving.com and by direct commission.
By placing an order through the website or by contacting us directly to confirm a purchase, you accept these terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not place an order. We may update these terms from time to time; the version published here at the time of your order applies to that order.
Orders are confirmed once we send a written order confirmation by email or messaging app, including the piece, dimensions, finish, total price, shipping method and estimated delivery date. Payment is due before production starts for made-to-order pieces, and before shipping for in-stock items. We accept bank transfer (IDR and selected foreign currencies), major credit cards via our payment processor, and agreed direct arrangements for trade customers.
Catalog prices are displayed in US Dollars (USD) for international customers and in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) for customers in Indonesia. Prices for in-stock pieces are fixed at the time of order; prices for custom commissions are quoted individually and held for 14 days. Shipping is calculated separately based on destination, weight and chosen method, and is shown to you before payment is taken.
We ship from our workshop in Tangerang Selatan to most countries. Within Java, standard shipping is 2–5 working days. To other Indonesian islands, 5–14 working days depending on destination. International shipments use trusted freight forwarders and typically arrive within 3–6 weeks; we will share tracking and the freight forwarder's contact information once the piece leaves the workshop.
Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. We are not responsible for delays caused by the freight forwarder, customs inspections, or events outside our reasonable control, but we will help resolve any issue that arises during transit.
For in-stock catalog items shipped within Indonesia, you have the right to cancel within 7 days of receipt under the Indonesian Consumer Protection Act (UU No. 8/1999). The piece must be returned in the same condition, in its original packaging, at your cost. We will refund the purchase price within 14 days of receiving the returned item.
Custom commissions, made-to-order pieces, and items marked as "Sale" or "Floor model" are not eligible for return unless defective. International orders follow the same 7-day window where Indonesian law applies; for shipments to destinations where local consumer law provides a longer period, we honour the longer period.
Every Amberlyn piece carries a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects in joinery, frame construction and rattan weaving, under normal residential use. Natural variations in wood grain, colour, and the appearance of slight movement in solid wood as it seasons are not defects and are part of what makes each piece unique.
To make a warranty claim, write to sale@amberlynliving.com with your order number and a clear photo of the issue. We will respond within 5 working days with the next steps — typically either a repair kit, a workshop visit (for customers in the Jakarta / Tangerang area), or a pick-up and repair arrangement for international customers.
Custom commissions follow the workshop direct process described on our About page: dimensions, finish, weave, and lead time are agreed in writing before production starts. A 50% deposit is taken at the point of agreement; the balance is due before shipping. Once production has started on a custom piece, the deposit is non-refundable, but the work itself remains subject to the warranty in section 7.
All designs, photographs, illustrations, copy and code on this site are owned by Amberlyn Living or used with permission, and are protected by Indonesian and international copyright law (UU Hak Cipta No. 28/2014). You may browse, save and print pages for personal, non-commercial reference. Reproducing designs, photographs or written copy for commercial purposes — including 3D-scanning or re-making our pieces — requires our written permission.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Indonesian law. Subject to that, our total aggregate liability for any order is capped at the amount you paid for that order.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. We will try to resolve any dispute through direct conversation first; if that fails, disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the District Court of Tangerang Selatan (Pengadilan Negeri Tangerang Selatan), save where the Indonesian Consumer Protection Act gives you the right to bring an action in your local court. International customers may also rely on the mandatory consumer protection rules of their own country where those are more favourable.
We may update these terms to reflect changes in law, workshop practice or the way we sell. Updates are published on this page; the effective date at the top tells you when the current version came into force.
